MEET DR. ABRAMS
Jack Abrams, M.D., is Nevada's only double board-certified cornea specialist, having earned certifications from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Abrams has practiced in Las Vegas since 2001, and founded his private practice Abrams Eye Institute in Las Vegas in 2005. He has performed more than 12,000 surgical procedures in his career, including cornea, LASIK, cataract replacement and other procedures.
Dr. Abrams also serves as Chief of Ophthalmology and Medical Director of Eye Trauma at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas. He previously served as Medical Director for Southwest Medical Associates' Ophthalmology Department, and Chief Surgeon at Tulane Hospital Medical Center in Louisiana.
Dr. Abrams attended the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for medical school and internal medicine training. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University, School of Medicine. Dr. Abrams then practiced at the world renowned UCSD Shiley Eye Center as a clinical instructor, where he worked with other leaders in his field.
Dr. Abrams has written numerous publications and presentations. He received the Best Scientific Research Award for his research on the treatment of corneal infections. Dr. Abrams is not only an excellent surgeon and clinician, he also sincerely cares about each individual patient.
