Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic eyelid surgery that can enhance your appearance and potentially your vision. We perform this procedure in our Las Vegas offices.
An improvement in your eyelids and eyes can greatly enhance your overall appearance. The aging process and genetics can cause the skin of the upper eyelid to become fuller, and it can also cause bagginess to develop inside the inner halves of the upper eyelids and underneath the lower lids.
Eye bagginess can also interfere with vision. Fortunately, these problems can be corrected with a procedure called blepharoplasty.
You are considered a good candidate for blepharoplasty if you have any of the following concerns:
- Excess skin that hides the natural fold of your upper lids.
- Droopiness of the lower eyelids
- Excess skin and wrinkles in your lower eyelids
- Loose skin hanging around your upper eyelids that interferes with your vision
- Dark circles and bags underneath your eyes
Eyelid Surgery Recovery
Blepharoplasty is an outpatient procedure, so you’ll be able to go home after the surgery. Following the procedure, you will need to rest for a few days and keep your head elevated. You may experience bruising and swelling after the procedure, but it usually subsides within seven to 10 days.
We recommend applying a cold compress to reduce discomfort and swelling. You will be able to wear makeup within the first week after your surgery.
